Game Over? Not So Fast! Gothic – A Shadow's Quest Enters the Endgame!
Vienna, Austria - October 22nd, 2026: The clock is ticking! The crowdfunding campaign for Gothic – A Shadow's Quest is scheduled to end this Friday, October 23rd, at 3:00 PM CEST. But what if the community could keep it going a little longer? Mind you, there's some extra loot involved!

Thanks to a suggestion from the community, Gothic – A Shadow's Quest is entering Gamefound's Endgame! The Endgame kicks off at 2:50 PM CEST, 10 minutes before the original deadline. Every new pledge or qualifying add-on purchase extends the campaign by 10 minutes from the time it's made. These extensions don't stack, and each backer can only participate once. But as long as new pledges keep coming in before the timer runs out, the campaign keeps going! Once the countdown reaches zero, it's game over for good.
An easy way to join is the new Sleeper Mask fridge magnet add-on which will be available for just 2€ to existing backers. Adding it to your pledge during the Endgame counts toward extending the timer! Of course, new pledges and other qualifying add-ons count too.
If the campaign runs even one minute past its original deadline, all 24 standard D12 dice in the Ultimate and All-In Editions will be replaced with special Gothic D12 dice at no additional cost. Plus, all editions will receive two free Transformation into Wolf spell scroll cards! Additionally, every four hours of overtime will unlock additional content for all editions:
After 4 hours: a brand-new combat scenario
After 8 hours: two spell scrolls “Transformation: Lurker”
After 12 hours: an additional one-shot scenario
After 16 hours: two spell scrolls “Transformation: Minecrawler”
After 20 hours: Bonus Content—you can pickpocket certain NPCs
After 24 hours: Bonus Content—new area “Shipwreck” (requires “Swimming”)

Gothic – A Shadow's Quest is being crafted by THQ Nordic’s Board Game division, the creative team behind the critically acclaimed Darksiders – The Forbidden Land. Additionally, the developers of the highly successful video game Gothic 1 Remake gave a lot of creative input to make sure, Gothic – A Shadow's Quest comes with the iconic Gothic-feeling.
