Malmö, Sweden / Vienna, Austria – April 16th, 2026: The horrors just got even better: Patch 1.7 for REANIMAL, the dark yet cute horror game brought to you by Tarsier Studios, is live now, bringing a fresh batch of improvements and features.

On Nintendo Switch 2, Single Joy-Con support for local couch co-op has been added, meaning one Joy-Con per player is now all you need to suffer through the nightmare together, straight out of the box.

The update also introduces ultrawide screen (PC only) and HDR support (PC, PS5, Xbox), making every grim detail stand out even more… including the really nasty ones. In addition, REANIMAL is now fully verified on Steam Deck, so players can take all the dread, tension, and monstrosities on the go without compromise.

Patch 1.7 also includes general crash, audio, and connectivity fixes, as well as a new cosmetic addition for free: the Bugsplatter hat, as a token of appreciation for all players!
