Patch 1.9 Origins

Content

  • Added a tutorial which explains some of the basic and more advanced topics of the game.
  • Added "Origins": A new way to experience the game by changing how you start. Six different paths, each with its own story and reward.

Features 

  • Battles can be restarted during or directly after a battle.
  • True auto resolve can now be enabled in the Gameplay options. It removes the fuzziness of the auto resolve preview and replaces it with a detailed damage and death preview.
  • Lenya now provides a consumable skill to neutralize Poison.
  • Added a toggle to battles to permanently speed up all actions within this battle.
  • Yngrid has an additional adventure, filling the blank space on her spell page.

Quality of Life

  • Added a prominent language chooser on first start of the game to allow users to change the game language without needing to find the settings menu.
  • The speed tooltip in the unit window now also exposes that unit's worldmap movement modifications.
  •  There is now a UI element highlighting unexplored locations. Toggles with the setting to show harvestable locations.
  • New and animated Battle-End screens.
  • Added a notification for soon to be depleted locations.
  • Select a free slot in room extension crafting by default.
  • Shortened the spell book animation time when receiving a fully researched spell (either through buying it or from an adventure).
  • The crossbow reload animation now does not block other actions for as long.

Balancing

  • The research loot pickup now sometimes yields thematically fitting artefacts and resources (tomes, scrolls...)

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the effect on the "Corrupted Glyph of the Leader", now works correctly in any case.
  • Fixed an issue with Bonds (Dreamweaver’s Bond, Absorb Pain) that would lead to weird behavior in combat when a status effect dealt damage to a bonded unit.
  • Fixed an issue where the "there is research to invest in" button wouldn't show up if you already finished all research and then gained a new one.
  • Fixed bug where "Keep Crafting Ingredients" ignores filtered items for refill.
  • If one of your units gets zombified, its items are now correctly returned to you.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the campaign selection to sometimes need additional input to select the correct archetype on gamepad.
  • "Consumables don’t cost an action” now also works if the unit doesn't have any actions left anymore.
  • Spireward connections to Circle mage towers now correctly disappear with the Spire.

Modding

  • Added Demonology recipes to Initial Crafting Recipes asset.
  • Localization can now be hot reloaded through a button in the debug menu. Some text will be reloaded automatically (e.g. Adventure texts) some need to be displayed again (e.g. opening / closing windows, hovering over a tooltip again).
  • Expanded the functionality of CampaignStartLocation class.
